Tanya Wagner finished 2nd overall in the 2008 CrossFit Games. She was a D1 soccer goalie in college, and now she and her husband Josh are both PE teachers. They also run CrossFit Apex in Sellersville, PA.
Tanya recently attended the CrossFit Olympic Lifting Seminar with Coach Mike Burgener at CrossFit Montclair.
This video is the first part of Tanya’s story, put together by the crew at Again Faster. She talks about her background, and what it's like being a strong female athlete. Also, Coach B works with her on the setup for the snatch, and finishing the extension.

As the workout performances continue to improve and be refined, so does the content! The camera work, editing, subjects and (most important)content- all excellent! Thank you!

Just a glimpse of how insanely cool she is, but don't let that smile fool you. She is a beast!

Damn. Well said. Like Mike F. just said, I know she has to be super cool, a bada@#, and super cute all at the same time. Got to get me a Crossfit chick. And I mean that in the most respectable way:)

Yep - excellent video across the board. Big props to the AgainFaster guys for the work they do.
I think it's great to see these kinds of profiles of CF's top athletes. I love hearing about their history, their perspective, and what they're up to.
And, I gotta get me some training from Coach B. ... even though he scares the bugeezus outta me. The level of mastery he has is so obvious, it hurts.

Awesome video and awesome athlete. Tanya and Josh came to visit and train us about six months ago. They're two great people with an awesome future in CrossFit.

Excellent video. I am a long way from perfecting the snatch, and I learn something new every time I get the opportunity to watch Coach B working with someone on this exercise.
I look forward to watching Tanya's inner beast get released in Part 2!

I would really like to know if Josh and Tanya are using Crossfit workouts at their schools were they teach. At our school we have begun to re-educate our children to understand that physical fitness looks like Crossfit. Hopefully, a new generation of Crossfitter is going to be developed from today's youth with the help of Josh and Tanya. Maybe then, we might start to notch away at theh current obesity rates in the United States.
Tanya's description of "what" women physically should be able to accomplish is awesome. Tanya looks great, but overpowering media says girls should be skin and bone to look great. I truly hope the female Crossfit enthusists will help to change the perception of girls body image and fitness levels.
Way to go Tayna!

Would have liked to have seen more of me in the vid;) but it was awesome to be there with Coach B.
Tanya is not just a beast, she's the whole package and John's a lucky guy. We can't wait to have them back to Albany for another Challenge!
