In Combatives, Radio
January 24, 2009
This is the 24th episode of CrossFit Radio, which aired at 6pm PST on January 23rd, 2009.
0:00 Intro
2:00 Tony Blauer from Blauer Tactical
55:45 Letter from Brad Willock on the usefulness of CrossFit for young females
57:30 Rogue Fitness giveaway of a dBM jump rope
He shared what being a part of the CrossFit community means to him, when the last time he had to “throw down” was, and how he got into self-defense. He also discussed the physical requirements of an altercations and the little known psychological requirements of being successful in an altercation.
He explained that the “first move” isn’t usually the first punch, and that being aware is the most useful weapon. There are actually a couple points on the body that will incapacitate an attacker (but it’s not the groin).
1hr 22sec
The next show will be Monday, January 26, 2009 at 6pm PST. The interview will be Jeff Tucker from GSX Athletics.

Interesting stuff. It sounds like the CF method applied to self-defense, or it could also be the Blauer self-defense method applied to fitness. The 2 seem very complementary.
Sure wish something like this was more accessible and prevalent.
