Gillian Mounsey finished 3rd overall in the 2008 CrossFit Games. She had been training CrossFit specifically for only 12 weeks. But, as we find out in this profile from Again Faster, she has been training hard for about 16 years.

In this final of three parts, Gillian talks about the role of coaching, how she programs her workouts, her 16 years of logging her training, how she views training as she moves through her 30s and older, and nutrition.

She is currently a trainer at CrossFit South Brooklyn, and one of the favorites going into the 2009 CrossFit Games.

Gillian is a inspiringrole model. Not only that, from watching the video's she seems to be a very talented trainer and athlete. Thank you very much for admitting the 11 to 15 days in a row bit. I almost thought I was a little wacked!

Good luck with the games!

In all honesty, this is the first Video in awhile that has really resonated with me and I know that if many of the athletes training in my gym watched it, they too would be really enlivened and renewed. We have many more athletes in our affiliate on the high side of 35 than on the under side. I love your style Gillian.

I'm new to CrossFit and at 49, I listened intently to your views on training as you age. I agree with your position on CrossFit being a lifestyle. It requires a a commitment. I also like that you find joy in sharing your enthusiasm, skill, and experience with others. "Those who can't do, teach." Ha! You prove that tired old cliche wrong.
