Ok, ok, I'll definitely concede that the Wii Fit is misnamed. It's not going to achieve fitness for anyone by almost any definition. But I see it as a game first and foremost, a game which happens to be deceptively named and marketed as a fitness tool -- certainly not the first product to be sold that way, and not the last. Hate it all you want for that, but it's still a fun game.

I also suspect that it's done a lot to convince people who had long given up on being in shape that maybe fitness can be fun after all, and to get out of their living rooms completely and into some kind of real fitness program. If it had been labeled "Wii Stand Still" instead of "Wii Fit", that association might never happen.

I'm actually a little whinier sounding than you made me sound. Punks. :P
