Lauren Plumey hails from CrossFit Milford where she trains with Jocelyn Secondi and Jason Leydon.
Lauren followed her trainer from a globo gym that closed to CrossFit Milford, and went from athletic to being an athlete. She doesn’t like to scale to so-called “female weights.”
Her goals are on the gym whiteboard: getting her CrossFit Total into the 600s, improving her Fran time, and working on handstand push ups and thrusters.
She just won a local CrossFit competition and now the next big thing on her list is the Northeast Regional Qualifier for the 2009 CrossFit Games.

Lauren and I worked out at the same globo gym before Crossfit. If she didn't leave she was on her way to getting kicked out. People watched in awe as she worked out harder then anyone in the gym. From jump roping in the middle of the "ab" section to box jumps or bunnie hops on the flat bench. She's a great coach, motivator and as complimentary to someone getting their first double under to someone getting a sub 3 minute Fran time. Good Luck LP. I'm sure you'll do very well.

The link to part 2 isn't showing up, but if you just change the "1" at the end of Part1 to a "2", it works fine.

I love to see these ordinary folks, who don't have another sport or an athletic history, discover Crossfit and make competitive fitness their hobby. The Crossfit games are really legitimizing the sport of fitness that we've created.

I found these videos extremely inspiring. They proved to me how a goal and hard work can make anyone a better athelete. Way to go Lauren - any success you have is fully earned on your part. Great job getting to where you are now and good luck with your future endeavors.
