Boz and Todd take their act on the road to Rainier CrossFit, in Pullayup, WA where they are joined by Lisa Ray of CrossFit Flagstaff in this video by CrossFit by Overload. After some banter, the three trainers decide to instruct an all-female class on how to do double-unders.

Many people get tripped up by double-unders because they think too much and jump too soon. The rhythm from regular jumps should be maintained. Just speed up the rope turn and you will make it around. Relax the shoulders and relax the body. The secret is in the wrists, which should be used to whip the rope hard and fast.

The class concludes with huge jumps called “monkey jumps.” They look ridiculous but are a great drill for improving shoulder mobility.

Someone needs to make a video compilation of Boz's random skills. He's got that crazy forward lean on the rubber band, standing back flips, juggling big ole kettlebells between the legs, and now monkey jumps. I feel like these are just the tip of the iceberg....

Great tip on establishing the wrist speed for the double. Thank you!

You guys look like you're having way too much fun!

I love Boz.

I don't think anyone brings the same kind of friendliness and humor to coaching that he does.
