In Part 1 of this video shot at FilFest 2010, Zach Even-Esh talked about how fear of failure kept him from succeeding and kept him from dating a hot girl. But Zach learned to overcome those fears and grab life by the throat.
“All these times I had opportunities staring me in the face, I bailed and I screwed myself from kicking ass,” Even-Esh explains. “And that lesson started teaching me to really start making shit happen.”
Instead of waiting four years to ask out the next dream girl, Zach dropped the time to six months, and he got the girl. The dream girl after that? Zach married her. Along the bumpy dating road, he learned that you can’t wait for things to happen; you have to get it done yourself.
Zach also learned that Greg Glassman is a lot like Yoda, but we’ll let Even-Esh explain that one. He has a way of making these things make sense—and making people laugh.

Love hearing this guy speak. Hilarious, yet from the heart. Love the idea of doing the extra credit. Keep it up Zach. HQ keep the videos coming of this guy speaking.

As a platoon leader in Mosul, Iraq, I hear this as:
"I set the bar extremely high. Same thing with what I do as my [soldiers]...go heavier, rest less, do more, do the extra credit. It's the same thing that we expect of our [soldiers]...that you should expect of yourself... to outwork others."
I can't even begin to describe what impact this piece had on me. Great stuff.

I'm a teacher as well and leaving a secure job to start a gym takes some balls. Maybe this will be the year. Thanks Zach
