In Competition, CrossFit Games, Radio
April 07, 2010
On this episode of CrossFit Radio, host Justin Judkins interviewed Northern California Sectional competitor Chris Michelmore and HQ trainer Adrian Bozman. Episode 114 was webcast live at 6 p.m. PDT on Wednesday, April 7, 2010.
3:49 Chris Michelmore placed 20th at the Northern California Sectional, barely earning a berth in the regional competition. He spoke about his preparation for the event and how he found the time to train in a packed schedule. He also talked about the mental aspect of competing in the largest qualifier and explained the strategies he employed throughout the competition
23:28 Adrian Bozman came on the show to talk about the new Coaches Prep Course that was implemented two months ago. First of all, he explained what the weekend is like and what one would expect to gain from the seminar. Adrian also talked about the philosophy behind the course and why even a person training out of his or her garage would benefit from the curriculum presented. Boz went on to gave his opinion on what “active rest” means on rest days, and he even gave his advice on activities to avoid on rest day. Adrian usually serves as one of the head judges at the CrossFit Games, but he threw on his programmer’s hat and presented a WOD he would program for the Games if he had the opportunity.
