On Episode 118 of CrossFit Radio, host Justin Judkins interviewed a few people at a CrossFit Kids Cert. First up was CrossFit Agoge owner John Brown, followed by Conner Martin. At the conclusion of the cert, he spoke to David Zink, owner of CrossFit Thin Air. Justin also interviewed HQ’s Lisbeth Darsh. This episode was webcast live at 6 p.m. PDT on Wednesday, May 5, 2010.

08:50 John Brown owns CrossFit Agoge with his wife Kelly. As one of the certification trainers, he spoke about why an affiliate owner or teacher should attend a CrossFit Kids cert. John also explained how his affiliate has grown over the years from a garage gym to a fully equipped box. John finished by talking about his participation in the recent North Central Regional competition. Conner Martin talked briefly about growing up with CrossFit and how he considers it his sport. He’s set a challenging goal of winning the CrossFit Games next year, but he plans on taking the necessary steps to do so. David Zink owns CrossFit Thin Air with his wife, and both attended the certification. He spoke briefly about what he found most valuable at the two-day event.

31:54 Lisbeth Darsh explained what she does for HQ and how running the Affiliate Site is a full-time job. She gave great advice for affiliate owners about what type of Web site to use and how different affiliates have attracted more traffic to their site. She also explained how affiliates foster culture and community online. Darsh went on to talk about the affiliate spotlight, the affiliation process and the number of affiliates worldwide. Finally, she gave an update on her affiliate, CrossFit Watertown, and how she chooses great trainers to help her run the business.

No problem downloading other non-Crossfit iTunes podcasts, likewise no problem, downloading earlier “CrossFit Radio" episodes.


There seems to be a problem unique to “CrossFit Radio, Episode 118”
