Twenty-one teams gathered for the Affiliate Cup competition at the Northeast Regional, held May 21-23 in Albany, N.Y. Each team consisted of six athletes, with four competing in each workout.

The competition featured three events:

WOD 1—In 12 minutes, men had to complete 40 snatches at 115 lb., while women completed 40 snatches at 83 lb. After, the team members then completed as many handstand push-ups as possible in the remaining time, one individual at a time, with the score being the total repetitions of handstand push-ups completed.

WOD 2—The second workout required two athletes working at a time, completing a 4K row and (in order) 100 ground to shoulders (135/95 lb.), 100 box jumps (24/20 inches), 100 chest-to-bar pull-ups, 100 sumo deadlift high pulls (95/65 lb.), 100 burpees. Until the row was completed, only one athlete could work at the remaining exercises.

WOD 3— All four athletes had to rotate through four stations of 30 burpees, 30 box jumps (24/20 inches), 30 kettlebell swings (55/35 lb.), and 30 deadlifts (225/153 lb.). Then, each team completed a weighted sled-push relay (90/50 lb.). Also, one athlete from each team was required to wear a weight vest for the duration of the workout.

The top teams moving on to the CrossFit Games in Los Angeles are:

1. CrossFit New England
2. CrossFit Performance
3. Guerrilla Fitness
4. CrossFit Tribe

Not to sound like a baby, but these narrated videos are SO BAD. I love the footage, but I literally have to turn the volume down to get through them.

It was amazing to watch CrossFit New England last weekend. Such an impressive group of athletes. Good luck in L.A.

(I'll still be cheering for my Tribe in Cali though! So proud of my team.)

I liked the commentary too, high octane loud music gets old, there's a human story there and I appreciate more variety in the coverage.
