On Episode 122 of CrossFit Radio, host Justin Judkins interviewed Chris Cooper, owner of Catalyst Fitness, and Ashleigh Moe, the winner of the Northwest Regional. This episode was webcast live at 6 p.m. PDT on Wednesday, June 2, 2010.

1:57 To kick things off, Justin gave a brief rundown of the competitors who qualified for the CrossFit Games this past weekend.

4:20 Chris Cooper is president of Catalyst Fitness in Ontario, Canada. He came on the show to talk about how he has successfully used CrossFit to help athletes who are battling multiple sclerosis. Chris recently wrote a CrossFit Journal article (Rewiring the Body) about how CrossFit has helped rewire and create new motor pathways in people with MS, and he detailed what types of challenges he creates for his special athletes. Always researching some aspect of fitness, Chris also talked about a study they’re about to conduct on kids with Type 1 diabetes.

26:22 Ashleigh Moe is a trainer at Mt. Baker CrossFit. She came on the show to talk about the Northwest Regional, where she took first place overall. She detailed the strategies she used at the competition and shared her thoughts and feelings about the weekend. She talked about her athletic background and also explained how she prepared for the regional and what her training will look like as the Games draw closer.
