The Pose Method was not an invention. It was a discovery.
Continuing with his explanation of the discovery of the Pose concept, Dr. Nicholas Romanov explains how muscles work through our body weight’s relationship to gravity. Improve your ability to work with gravity and you will naturally become a better runner.
Chuck Carswell demonstrates as Dr. Romanov explains.

Poor Chuck. But seriously, that last bit about gravity making everything work automatically seems so intuitive and simple now. Running should be just that simple, making gravity utilize all the necessary muscles naturally.
Love the explanation and background, but I would also like to see some more demonstrations, exercises, skills and drills so I can get better. Great vid, looking forward to more from Dr. Romanov.

Check out "CrossFit Endurance", www.crossfitendurance.com (W/F/S) for more videos and demos. You can also find several videos on the main site under "exercises and demos", in the "running" section. The guys and gals over at CFE are leading the way with this style of running and conditioning.

When ever I mention POSE running or run mechanics to a client, they really begin to believe the information before trying it when I show them video of how children naturally utilize the POSE method with out any instruction at all. This is a great method and I've been POSE running for almost a year now. After I got over the first two weeks of completely destroying my calfs it all got better.

Its important to remember that POSE is a skill. Just like dancing, squating, skating and swimming etc. That said, anyone can do it - but it sure as hell isn't easy at the start. People need to know that they will suck at it and it will hurt not because it is different, but because they suck at it... I say this because I hear a lot of people say, "I tried that - it hurt - so its wrong"... no, you just suck at it right now.
On a more simple note - just like swimmers, the fastest runners slow themselves down the least... chew on that while you ascend a long hill. It's amazing how your heart rate can drop with a little focus and perception surrounding efficiency of movement regardless of the task at hand.
