The Fort V experience at the Games started out with a sixth-place finish in the thruster/pull-up/buddy-carry event. Then the tide turned with a first-place finish in the deadlift/pistol/row workout, followed by an eighth-place finish in the max-overhead event, leaving them in the top position at the end of Day 1.
Results on Day 2 only improved with a first-place finish in the chipper and a second-place finish in the obstacle course. After a grueling weekend, CrossFit Fort Vancouver emerged as the overall winner of the Affiliate Cup.
The champions attribute their success to the performance of their athletes, especially the caliber of their female team members.
