“It’s like ‘Bring Your Hero to CrossFit Day,’” says Chris, an athlete from CrossFit Avalanche. “I keep thinking I’m watching a video, but I’m actually there.”

Join CrossFit Avalanche athletes as they watch the elite of their sport overrun the CrossFit box in Lake Tahoe, Calif. CrossFit Avalache recently hosted the Rogue Vs. Again Faster Throwdown.

Lucky athetes had the chance to meet some of their CrossFit heroes.

“It’s very inspiring to actually see them in person, watch them do their thing. They make it look easy—it’s not fair because it’s really not easy,” Chris says.

Miranda Oldroyd, Chris Spealler and Kristan Clever even shared their expertise by teaching a class together.

“I think this is our personal version of the Games, so it’s pretty neat,” says Kyle of CrossFit Avalanche.

Yeah, I second that. It's always good to watch any HQ trainer coach a class.

This makes me so proud to be a part of something like crossfit at the early stages.(I believe this is going to blow up major in the coming years.) Being able to see the real Pros mix it up and have fun in a box is part of what makes crossfit so rewarding. I don't get star struck when I see movie or even sports stars, but if Clever, Spealler, Khalipa, Holmberg, or any of the Crossfit pros walked into our Box, I'd be stammering for an autograph. I'd probably run home, get a kettlebell, and do my best to get them all to sign... (That's Irontribe in Birmingham, AL if any of you are reading this!!) Keep up the inspirational work! Can't wait to see you all again at the 2011 CF games!
