“I want people to realize that any day, it’s anybody’s game, and I think we showed that all weekend long. Whether it’s Rogue and AF or whether you’re just out there in your garage hitting it, realize that any day anything comes out of the hopper, it’s anybody’s game,” says Again Faster owner Jon Gilson.

This three-part presentation is the backstory of the Tahoe Throwdown and features footage shot when the clock wasn’t ticking and the athletes weren’t going head to head in grueling tests of fitness.

As the final day begins, Team Rogue, now the underdogs, must push hard to compete with the leading Again Faster team. From the beach to CrossFit Avalanche, from the playground to the soccer field, the winner isn’t decided until the very last event: the tug of war. Watch the behind-the-scenes moments as it all plays out.

“Congratulations to everybody. That was amazing. That was one of the coolest things I’ve ever had the chance to participate in,” Dave Lipson says.

Lipson also reminds the group of those we’ve lost.

“There are a lot of people that would have loved to participate in this, and one of them would have been Amanda Miller,” he says. Miller passed on in 2010 less than one year after competing in the 2009 CrossFit Games. She was 24.

Again Faster is selling T-shirts to support Lipson’s 365 Days of Squatting project, and all the proceeds from their sales will be donated to the Melanoma Research Foundation in Miller’s name. For more information, visit the website 365 Days of Squatting.

“Think about how lucky you are to be able to do what you do every day,” Lipson says.

Castro called his pet a "Rat Dog" because "it looks like a rat." I could be wrong, but it looks like a Rat Terrier. Named for their ability to catch rodents, not because they look like them. RT's are great dogs, as his seems to be. If you want one like it, rescue one! http://newrattitude.org/

Thank you all who were involved to bring this to us once again. I just watch 2 and 3 back to back and didn't even realize I been sitting here for 2 hours lol. About to hit a WoD at 10:29pm Afghan time. So worth it though. Well WoD after I buy a shirt, thanks Dave for your squats lost my big sister to cancer and you inspire me to try something similar.

Tahoe was awesome! Thanks to HQ for plugging the Amanda Miller T-Shirt Fundraiser, and to Lipson for such a badass effort. We sent over $4400 to the Melanoma Research Foundation last month, and are looking forward to another donation soon.

Best,

Jon

I'm not the most emotional of guys, but I was *very* touched by Lipson's emotion at the end. Thanks, Dave.

Love this series! Watching all the behind the scenes stuff was awesome.

I'm wondering why the events themselves weren't showcased a little more. The actual competitions were skipped over... I feel that there was an opportunity to edit them together in a way that would highlight the intensity and tension.

Would love to see some more of this kind of stuff!
