On Episode 167 of CrossFit Radio, host Justin Judkins interviewed Reebok CrossFit Games Co-Director Justin Bergh and Open competitor Dan Bailey. This episode was webcast live at 6 p.m. PDT on Wednesday, April 13, 2011.

5:35 Besides being an affiliate owner and a staff member for the Level 1 seminars, Justin Bergh is also the Asst. Director of the CrossFit Games. Halfway through the six-week competition, Justin came on the show to talk about how the Open is shaping up so far. He spoke about recently announced WOD 11.4 and shared some of his expectations going into the regional competitions and eventually the Games. Justin described what his affiliate, CrossFit Southside, is doing to support the Open and how he, as an affiliate owner, is helping his athletes who are competing as well as those who aren’t.

He came on the show to talk about his performance on the first three WODs and explained his strategy heading into WOD 11.4. Dan described his athletic background and how he found CrossFit, and he detailed his training and his use of “strength Tabatas” to help prep him for the competition season this year.
