Chapman explained how he came up with his current pricing model and how a new affiliate can determine what coaching and the CrossFit experience are worth. He also explained how he communicates that value to a prospective member so the person understands what he or she will get at the affiliate. Finally, Chapman detailed his new client-acquisition pitch and the baseline WOD he uses.

31:45 Chuck Carswell came on the show to talk about the HQ Seminar Staff Trainers Summit that took place in San Diego, Calif., in late October. He summarized what Coach Greg Glassman spoke about and also detailed what investigative journalist Gary Taubes (Why We Get Fat and What to Do About It) covered in his lecture on nutrition. Carswell shared his biggest takeaway from the weekend and told the story of working out in the hotel fitness room with several well-known CrossFitters. Carswell spends a lot of time on the road, and he talked about how he answers questions about fitness from non-CrossFitters.
