On Episode 226 of CrossFit Radio, host Justin Judkins interviewed Zach Smith, co-owner of CrossFit Intensify. Justin also interviewed North Central Regional winner Elisabeth Akinwale. This episode was webcast live at 6 p.m. PDT on Wednesday, May 30, 2012.

25 med-ball cleans into a wall-ball shot (20-lb. ball)
20 alternating one-arm dumbbell snatches (45-lb. dumbbell)
15 ring dips
3:51 Zach Smith is one of the owners and team members of CrossFit Intensify’s competitive team, which just won the North West Regional and qualified to compete at the 2012 Reebok CrossFit Games. Smith gave a short recap of the competition and how his team was tied with CrossFit Fort Vancouver going into the final event. Smith described what the team has done to be stronger as a unit and build better communication, and he gave advice for affiliate owners who want to create a competitive team. Smith also explained how important it is to keep CrossFit the fitness program the priority over CrossFit the sport in their affiliate.
27:01 Elisabeth Akinwale recently won the North Central Regional and is confident heading into the Reebok CrossFit Games. She talked about her regional competition and how it felt to emerge victorious from such a competitive group of women. She described how her training has evolved compared to last year and why she’s better now. Akinwale described how she found CrossFit, and she explained how she balances motherhood, a career and CrossFit training.
