It’s a good idea to know how to clean up a blood spill in the box.

CrossFitters know the sting of an occasional hand tear or bloody shin from a poorly pulled snatch or mistimed box jump, and sometimes minor cuts and scrapes from outside the gym open up during a workout.

Spills should be cleaned up immediately, and by planning ahead, educating trainers, and having the right equipment and supplies ready, clean-up will be swift and thorough.

This article contains guidelines for cleaning up blood spills. They are helpful recommendations that are of course optional, but they’ll give you a good place to start.

Good to give advice on blood spillage.
We would not recommend rubber or latex gloves, due to allergies from these substances in the general population, and increased risk of allergies with healthcare workers.
Nitrile or vinyl gloves should be used.
