On Episode 298 of CrossFit Radio, host Justin Judkins interviewed HQ Seminar Staff member Josh Everett and Josh Bunch of Practice CrossFit. This episode was webcast on Oct. 2, 2013.

1:32 Josh Everett came on the show to talk about an event he’s organizing to help people around the world raise money for a charity that helps autistic children and their families. Everett’s goal is to have over 200 affiliates do the workout on Oct. 19. Finally, the Lighting Round of questions allowed listeners to get to know the old-school CrossFit star a little better.

11:41 Josh Bunch of Practice CrossFit in Ohio came on the show to share his philosophy on programming. He said it’s important to learn from successful programmers and spoke about how strength WODs are critical to the overall development of an athlete. He described how he programs and balances strength work with skill work, and he talked about the differences between programming for general physical preparedness and for athletes who want to compete. Bunch also went over the basics of the shoulder press and described the cues a good coach will use to produce great overhead lifting.
