The 2009 CrossFit Games were an incredible leap forward from 2008. Many of this year’s U.S. regional qualifiers were larger than the ΚΌ08 Games themselves, and attendance at The Ranch increased from about 1,300 last year to 4,500 this time around.

Coach Glassman explained that you can’t claim to be the best hockey team in the world without winning the Stanley Cup, and you can’t claim to be the world’s fittest athlete unless you win the 2009 CrossFit Games.
